STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – PPG Commercial Coatings has launched its third generation of COLOR ACCURATE software, CPC Color Accurate G3. The announcement was made by Steve Podlas, brand manager for PPG Commercial Coatings. The color formulation and management software provides a suite of powerful tools designed to increase the efficiency and productivity of paint operations at the distributor or with the end user.

New features in CPC Color Accurate G3 software include a broad range of preformulated color matches corresponding to the colors in the CPC two-volume color book set and intuitive formula searching. The software includes more than 40,000 preformulated colors in 20-plus qualities. Color information resides in the software, lessening the need to call the PPG Color Library or go online to find color formulas. Searches are easier because the software’s database can be accessed for preformulated colors by OEM, national fleet, RAL, competitor code and other criteria.

CPC Color Accurate G3 also facilitates importing a customer’s custom formulas and WIPs into the software, includes tintable primer options for CRE, HBA and VAP primers and provides two color formulation methods—sample mode and batch mode.

In addition CPC Color Accurate G3 provides the means to improve management efficiency with several customer job management reporting functions. The software lets the user input items critical to optimizing profitability on mixes, allows electronic scale and spectrophotometer compatibility, tracks VOC and HAPS and stores tech data sheets.
